The new sculpted metal base and the monochromatic enclosure give this new grinder a bold, distinctive look. The base and additional improvements contribute to more than a doubling of the weight over the original Maestro to 7.5 lbs. The additional weight gives the Maestro Plus a rock-solid feel with increased stability.

Like the original Maestro, the Maestro Plus is built with conical burrs that can produce the perfect grind for any style of coffee from Turkish to French Press. The 40 different settings providing more precise incremental grind adjustments for espresso and Turkish coffee settings as well. New graphics on the timer switch and the grind adjustment make this grinder easy to use.

The Maestro Plus' heavier weight makes one hand manual operation practical when you are grinding directly into a portafilter and pressing the manual on/off button on the front of the grinder. While this is possible on the original Maestro, due to its much lighter weight, it was not as stable and would tend to tip if you were only using one hand to hold the portafilter and pressing the button at the same time, and not holding the grinder with your other hand.
