After pulling a shot with the Jura Capresso Impressa E8, I knew it was a classic super automatic machine, from its black and silver housing to its easy to use controls. It stays true to Capresso’s high-end design without the high price tag of many other super automatics. It doesn’t have an auto-frothing attachment like more expensive Jura Capresso machines, but it does have a special steam wand called a Dual Frother that makes it easy to create steamed or frothed milk for cappuccinos and lattes. When making my cappuccino, I barely had to move my pitcher to get a good, solid froth.
The E8’s understated design has most of the amenities found in other Capresso machines. While I was brewing, the LED display was easy to read and is programmed to let me know when to empty the dump box or run a cleaning cycle. It also helped while programming my drink size, temperature, and strength with the brewing buttons and silver knob on the front of the machine.
All of the main cleaning processes on the E8 are contained, so running rinse cycles and descaling the machine are mess-free. It’s also equipped with a safety feature that will automatically turn the machine off after it’s been idle for 2 hours.
Comes with 2.2 lbs of Lavazza Super Crema Espresso and a 20oz frothing pitcher. $41 value! |
