As a solution to the predicament of finding a storage place for beans and counter space for a grinder and coffeemaker, Cuisinart has surpassed its reputation for practical, durable machines and come out with the DGB-700 Grind & Brew Auto. Coffee beans are stored in an airtight bean hopper; when you press the “brew” button, the precise quantity of beans is automatically ground, and the brewing begins. You can even program it to automatically begin this “grind and brew” process up to 24 hours in advance.

As an added feature, the DGB-700’s bean hopper holds a half-pound of beans, or enough for over two 12-cup pots of coffee! This coffeemaker offers total practicality without sacrificing value.

Construction
The Cuisinart DGB-700 holds 12 cups of coffee, ensuring there’s always plenty for late-night study sessions, early-morning wake ups, or lingering desserts. Its stainless steel construction is stylish, durable, and easy to clean. The clear plastic bean hopper on top holds a half-pound of beans, and is easy to monitor so you always know when you’re running low. Programming
Your convenience was foremost when these controls were being designed. For those of us who plan ahead, use the control panel to program an auto start up to 24 hours in advance. For those of us who tend to leave things until the last minute, a “Brew Pause” system allows you to stop brewing for 20 seconds, just enough time to pour out a cup of coffee and replace the carafe. Whatever your personality traits, the auto shutoff means your coffeemaker will automatically turn off up to 4 hours after your last use.

Brewing Options
For those of us with more than 1 coffee drinker in the house, flexibility is key. To use a coffee blend other than what is in the bean hopper, press the “Grind Off” button before turning on the unit, and brew using pre-ground beans. You can also change the strength of each brew by setting the “strength control” dial to mild, medium, or strong.
Grinder

The DGB-700 uses a burr mill grinder, in which 1 burr rotates and the other stays stationary. The beans are drawn into the space between the burrs and crushed evenly and consistently, without creating too much friction or static charge that can damage the flavor.

Carafe and Non-Stick Hot Plate
The black plastic handle and lid on the carafe let you pour comfortably without drips and spills. Markings on the side ensure you have the amount of coffee you want. This carafe rests on a non-stick coated hot plate, keeping your coffee warm for whenever you need it.

Water Reservoir
The 54 oz water reservoir has a water level indicator on the side, so you’ll always know if you’re running low. To fill the water reservoir, a flip top located behind the bean hopper opens up, and you can pour the water in there. An included charcoal water filter eliminates impurities from your tap water, ensuring the best tasting coffee and consistent brewing. Replace the filter once every 60 days.

Maintenance
Your carafe sits on a non-stick hot plate, keeping the coffee warm for hours. The carafe should be rinsed after use, and the hot plate can be wiped down with a damp cloth. For the freshest tasting coffee, remove the bean hopper and clean once a week in the dishwasher or using warm soapy water.
