Using the Saeco Primea Touch Plus was as easy as using my cell phone. The Primea is a super automatic espresso pioneer because of its animated color touch pad display, making it one of the most user-friendly machines on the market. After setting up the machine, 8 different drink icons were standing at the ready: hot milk, hot water, espresso, coffee, long coffee, espresso macchiato, cappuccino, and latte macchiato. Touching an icon once made 1 drink, while touching it twice made 2. Like other super automatic machines, I was also able to set strength, temperature, and size of each drink. Programming customized beverages was also easy because after making a cappuccino or macchiato, the Primea asked if I wanted to save my settings.

The Saeco Primea’s internal and external design stays in step with its futuristic touch pad. Its double boiler allows it to brew and froth with no wait time in between. I also liked how the milk container is completely internal, so no unsightly milk containers and tubes ruined the ambiance of the kitchen.  The drip tray is adjustable, as is the cup warmer. There are even wheels on the bottom of the machine, so moving it on the counter is never a problem.
