The Gaggia Baby features a 58 mm chrome-plated brass portafilter and brew group, as well as a 1425 watt heating element for excellent temperature stability.  The larger portafilter works the same as commercial portafilters do – evenly distributing the water through the grounds – so you’ll always have rich tasting espresso.
The Baby also features a three-way solenoid valve – which dries out the coffee puck to prevent dripping as well as making it easy to knock the coffee out of the portafilter with one swift knock. The Baby is capable of using both ground coffee and ESE certified espresso pods. This allows you to brew with the simplicity that pods provide, or get the unbelievable flavor that comes from using your own freshly ground coffee.
