The feature set of the CoffeeTEC's milk frothing system is almost too long to list entirely. It is rated for producing up to 32 ounces of frothed and steamed milk before you need to replenish the milk or water supply, and it comes complete with a removable 32 ounce milk container that can be conveniently stored in the refrigerator between uses. You simply attach the container to the machine, turn the steam knob on, and in less than 10 seconds the electronically controlled steamer starts dispensing hot milk and froth right into your cup. A valve allows for adjustments in foam thickness as it is dispersed from the nozzle.

The CoffeeTEC features a digital clock and timer that allows for automatic brewing up to 24 hours in advance. The machine also features an electronically controlled Aroma Setting. Use this feature if you only want to brew between 3 and 5 cups of coffee. A smaller batch of brewed coffee requires less coffee grounds. The machine will actually disperse hot water slower over the smaller amount of coffee grounds and produce a better extraction. Typical coffee brewers do not compensate for smaller batches of grounds resulting in under-brewed (under-extracted coffee), because they spray the grounds to quickly and the water passes through the coffee grounds to fast.

Luxurious, but more importantly: quality in construction and quality in the resulting brew. That's what you get from the 10 cup (50 ounce) double walled stainless steel carafe, which features a safety grip handle and a one-way valve on the top that allows coffee to flow from the brewer, but prevents air from mixing with your resulting brew. Unlike many other thermal carafe coffee brewers, there is no need to close the lid after brewing to maintain flavor and temperature with the CoffeeTEC carafe.

As with many Capresso coffee brewers, the water reservoir is removable for full access and easy cleaning. The inside surface of the reservoir has cup markings on it as a reference for easy filling. The reservoir supplies water both to the brewer and the built in milk-steaming device.

The free GoldTone coffee basket included eliminates the need to use paper filters, which may adversely affect the coffee’s flavor. And there is no waste since it is reusable and dishwasher safe. The machine can also use #4 standard paper cone filters if you prefer.

Removal of the coffee basket is easy and convenient, even when your coffee maker is placed in a tight spot beneath a cabinet. Just press a button and the coffee basket compartment swings out for easy access.

The CoffeeTEC allows for removal of the carafe during mid brew for those who just can't wait for the full pot! The machine automatically stops the coffee flow when the carafe is removed; resuming again once it is replaced.
